West of 105 Weekender: Events And Happenings In Colorado, Friday Oct. 13th-Thursday Oct. 19th

Tomorrow is the Four Corners Fall Fly-In. From 10 am to 5 pm at the Cortez Municipal Airport. The event features static displays, sight-seeing flights, food trucks, various exhibitors, and more. The solar eclipse is also happening tomorrow and the Four Corners Region is in the path of maximum eclipse, so plan to check out that celestial phenomenon while enjoying all of the Fly-In festivities. Free eclipse glasses will be provided.

This weekend, the Montrose Botanic Gardens is hosting a Scarecrow Festival from 10 am to 4 pm. Entry is free with donations appreciated. There are activities for kids, fall crafts, a bookmobile on Saturday, and a silent auction. You can also create your own scarecrow. Dress up and get a special treat. Little Shop of Horrors From today until Oct 22, "Little Shop Of Horrors" is playing at the Magic Circle Theater in Montrose. This Broadway hit, with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, captivates audiences with the tale of Seymour Krelborn, a timid floral assistant who stumbles upon a man-eating plant named "Audrey II." Directed by Jason Atchley, this darkly comedic sci-fi musical reveals Audrey II's sinister plans for global domination.

This weekend, in Grand Junction is the 2023 Grand Junction Air Show. The United States Navy’s Blue Angels are the star attraction. Legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert of Tijuana Brass and A & M Records fame, and Lani Hall, former lead singer for Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66 will be at the Avalon Theatre in Grand Junction on Sunday.
