The Powers Art Center in Carbondale has an amazing exhibition of work from some of the best known pop artists including Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. “American Pop Art” is on through Friday, November 3, 2023. The Powers Art center is closed Sunday and Monday.

Located in Grand Junction, CLAWS is the largest guaranteed adoption cat shelter between Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT. This weekend they are having an adoption event to try and find homes for the more than 100 cats they have waiting for their forever homes. Also tomorrow is the Fall Art Walk in Buena Vista. More than 50 local artists will be showing their creations in studios and galleries downtown. There will also be demonstrations and all kinds of other fun activities.
Looking ahead, the Ridgway Independent Film Festival kicks off its ninth year with a special screening on November 9th with the festival itself running from November 10th-12th.
