Welcome to another West of 105 Weekender, the newsletter that gives you a taste of what’s going on in Colorado this weekend, from live music, comedy and art, to a cowboy gathering and ski resort openings

Back in the good ol' days, when the sun dipped low and the workin' was done, cowboys would gather 'round a cracklin' campfire to spin yarns, sing songs, and weave words into tales that'd make your eyes wide and your heart stir. That tradition, born from the spur of the moment, straight from the hearts of those wranglin' cattle lives on, and this weekend you can join them at the Western Slope Cowboy Gathering today and tomorrow at the Grand valley Event Center in Grand Junction.
