Fruita Fat Tire Festival
May 2–4, 2025 | Fruita, CO
Kicking off this weekend, the Fruita Fat Tire Festival is one of the nation’s longest-running non-race mountain biking events. It features bike demos at the 18 Road/Bookcliffs Trail System and a recreation expo downtown. Expect guided rides, local brews, live music, and plenty of time on the trail.
Mike the Headless Chicken Festival
May 30–31, 2025 | Fruita, CO
This quirky annual event celebrates Mike, the chicken who survived 18 months without a head. It's a lighthearted, family-friendly festival with a 5K run, car show, wing and peep eating contests, food vendors, live music, and even a pancake breakfast.

Telluride Balloon Festival
June 6–8, 2025 | Telluride, CO
Now in its 42nd year, this small but memorable festival lights up the skies above Telluride. There are sunrise balloon launches from Town Park and an evening balloon glow along Main Street. It’s a great weekend for photography and a different view of the mountains. Learn more about it here.
Palisade Bluegrass & Roots Festival
June 6–8, 2025 | Palisade, CO
Set in scenic Riverbend Park, this riverside festival brings a strong lineup of bluegrass and Americana artists each year. Add in food trucks, regional wines, and views of the Grand Mesa, and it’s a relaxed way to spend a summer weekend. Check out more information here.

Glenwood Springs Strawberry Days

Dating back to 1898, Strawberry Days is Colorado’s oldest civic festival. The event features a parade, arts and crafts fair, live music, family activities, and the tradition of free strawberries and ice cream served in the park.
Telluride Bluegrass Festival
June 19–22, 2025 | Telluride, CO
Now in its 52nd year, Telluride Bluegrass is one of Colorado’s most iconic festivals. Set in the stunning San Juan Mountains, the 2025 lineup includes Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Lake Street Dive, and Greensky Bluegrass. It’s more than a concert—it’s a community gathering with workshops, local vendors, and jam sessions.

Country Jam Colorado
June 26–28, 2025 | Loma, CO
Colorado’s biggest country music festival takes place just outside Grand Junction at Country Jam Ranch. This year’s lineup includes headliners Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Bailey Zimmerman. Telluride Yoga Festival
June 26–29, 2025 | Telluride, CO
This four-day event includes yoga and meditation classes, hiking, rafting, aerial arts, and more—all set in the mountains around Telluride. It’s a chance to reset and recharge in one of the most scenic towns in Colorado. Check it out here.

Breckenridge Agave Festival
June 27–29, 2025 | Breckenridge, CO
A newer event that’s quickly gaining traction, the Agave Festival features tastings of premium tequila and mezcal, paired with creative tacos from local chefs. It’s an easygoing way to spend a weekend while exploring Breckenridge’s vibrant food and drink scene.
